Our Goals
We believe that a community is only as strong as the bonds that connect its members, which is why we work to create an environment that is welcoming to all.
Our Values
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
From its inception, all founding members, particularly Marie Laura Raphaël Alexis and Dr. Alice A Prophète, have invested not just their time and energy, but also personal resources to keep the organization moving forward. Their resilience and dedication have been particularly crucial at various pivotal moments in the organization’s history. When facing challenges that threatened the cohesion and unity of the organization, Marie Laura Raphael Alexis and Dr. Alice Prophète were called upon for guidance and advice to steer the group back on course. Their leadership emphasized the critical nature of unity and cooperation, underlining that a community is only as strong as the bonds that hold it together.
Marie Laura Raphaël Alexis and Dr. Alice A Prophète were the driving force behind the creation of The Haitian Organization of Edmonton (OHE). Their initiative gained the robust backing of Jean Clode Macena, Ismaélie Thernelan, and Marguerite Fils-aimé. Founded in 2010, the organization has grown to be much more than a supportive platform; it stands as a testament to an unwavering commitment to Edmonton’s Haitian community and to meeting the evolving needs of new arrivals.
