Flag Day Celebration

The Flag Day Celebration is an annual cultural event that is much more than just a flag-raising ceremony. This vibrant gathering is aimed at honoring the rich tapestry of cultures within our community. Expect a day filled with activities such as traditional dances, storytelling, and food stalls representing various countries. For those of us in the Haitian diaspora, this event holds particular significance. Our Haitian bicolor flag is deeply symbolic, and wherever we may be in the world, we continue to honor our heroes of independence. This annual event serves as a reminder of our roots and a celebration of the enduring spirit of the Haitian people.

Intercultural Exchange

Our Intercultural Exchange event serves as a vibrant showcase of Haitian culture, aimed at sharing our rich heritage with attendees from diverse backgrounds. While we encourage contributions from all cultures, this particular event puts a spotlight on the culinary arts, literature, crafts, painting, and music from Haiti. Inviting various ethnic groups and associations to participate allows us to introduce the unique facets of our culture in a more expansive context. Through this sharing, we aim not only to celebrate

Annual BBQ Potluck

Our Annual BBQ Potluck is a cherished event that marks a significant milestone: the founding of our organization in 2010. Initially held at Rundle Park, where we first united the Haitian community to introduce our organization, the venue has since expanded to various parks to accommodate our growing community. Every year in August, we host this community potluck BBQ. It's not just a celebration of our organization's anniversary; it's also a time to reinforce our community bonds and collective identity. This special annual event serves as a reminder of our roots and continually fortifies our commitment to one another, no matter where we gather.
